About George

Hello, and welcome to The Outdoors Dog . You will find exciting revelations, great information, and quality products for your best of friends.

Man’s Best Friend

I had had enough of everyday life and just wanted to get piece of mind for a bit, so CiciOn the trail and I hit the woods for the weekend. Cici is 1 of my 4 dogs.

So we set up camp in the middle of acres and acres of woods, which was about a 15 minute walk from one of my favorite fishing holes. On the second day of our journey, I decided to go fishing, and of course my little tag along, Cici, was by my side.

We had been on the trail a while and was coming to the pond when all of a sudden Cici started barking and doing circles about 5 ft in front of me.

I got to looking really hard and noticed a copperhead (poiseness snake) coiled up, catching some sun, right on the trail. If I had taken two more steps I would have stepped right on it, which I am sure you can imagine, would not have been good.

But having my best friend by my side saved me from a bad experience once again, and I was able to avoid and handle the situation properly. Now that is just one of many great adventures I have had with my dog(s) on the trail with me.
